Making it a good idea to take him out now rather than later. Instead, attract the attention of the Hollows by wandering forwards a bit and wait for them to funnel into the corridor where you can dispatch them easily. This area is divided in two sections. Prepare yourself - a tricky boss fight is about to begin. As the fire attack takes a significant amount of time to finish you should be able to get a lot of attacks in, allowing you to kill it after using this tactic only once or twice. You can carefully walk over the beams to find a Large Soul of a Lost Undead. As you climb the stairs you'll find a Balder Knight standing guard, so ruin his day by killing him. You'll have to deal with an Hollow Soldier on the way. Do you have to free Lautrec to summon Soliare. Deal with him, then proceed through an alcove and down another staircase. There's nothing more in that room so head out and go left. Next to Andre is a route down to a bossfight with the Titanite Demon and the entrance to Darkroot Garden. Undead Parish is an area in Dark Souls that carries over from the Undead Burg. Press on after your victory to enter the Darkroot Garden. Once you've climbed up two sets of ladders you'll find a White Light Gate. The remaining soldier, behind the boar, will likely come chasing after you while you're up here, so there's no need to go downstairs to get him. This guy is incredibly dangerous and hits extremely hard, so you're going to have to get tactical. If you follow it up you'll find a Black Knight at the top, however a toe-to-toe fight right now would be ill-advised and revisiting it in the near future would be better suited.Turn right as you exit the doorway to see an Undead Soldier (Sword) waiting on top of some stairs. He's also a non-respawner. At A Crossroads - Cross the walkway and you will reach a T-junction. Finally head back to the room of the horde and take the unexplored passage on the right. The first room will have two more Hollows, one on either side. Head across the bridge, and decide on your route. Next to the ladder you will note a body hanging on a beam. To fight the Channeler, first of all do not venture out into the area where he is. The Repairbox is sold by the Undead Merchant for 3,000 souls, or better yet by Blacksmith Andre for 2,000 souls. Keep advancing until he starts to move, then retreat back outside. At the top of the stairs head around the curve to find a corpse in a barrel. Pork Roast - With all the undead dealt with, now it's just you and the Fang Boar. It shouldn't take many hits to put him down. This enemy is known as the Armored Tusk, or Fang Boar, and will charge you as soon as you enter the courtyard. To beat the Berenike Knight, avoid his slow, cumbersome attacks by dodging and keeping moving, when he attacks chop away at his backside a few times and repeat the process. Follow this along for a while until you reach a building. I won't spoil what each of them do, but for the best experience it is advisable you release him using the Mystery Key which you found earlier. You can try to lure the Undead Soldier but it is very hard to do so without aggravating the knight on the other side; I recommend to run to the left and try to behind so the Undead Knight is in between yourself and the Undead Soldier, this is because the Soldier is much more defensive than the knight and will buy the knight enough time to box you in and kill you. The only thing worth noting here is that when you block his swing, he brings his tail around to hit a second time. If you go to it's rear end you'll be able to perform a backstab also, but beware that it has a rear kick that's quite painful if you don't successfully perform the backstab in time. Heading out the same way you entered and straight through the doorway into a corridor with stairs at the end of it, you'll come across an Undead Soldier at the top of the resulting stairs. Andre is easy to find, he is working on the floor below the Undead Parish bonfire. Go back to where you left him and confront him - and by confront him, we mean lead him to his own demise. Once this is done, head up the stairs and back to the area with the charming columns. Climb the second ladder where you'll find a room with a fog gate to your right. Your aim therefore is to get upstairs as quickly as you can to get rid of him so enter the Parish again, sprint straight towards the other side and you'll spot a stairwell. Dark Souls Remastered: UNDEAD PARISH PART 2 When you reenter the church after resting at a bonfire, all enemies except for the Tower Shield knight will be back. The ridiculous trek from the Undead Gurg to the Parish is really starting to wear thin. Break it open and the corpse will fall out, and you can loot it for a Humanity. His ranged lightning attack is easy to dodge, so taking him down is just a matter of using your own ranged weapons to whittle down his health. He shouldn't notice you from down here but once he does he'll fire soul arrows at you, and is able to buff the enemies around him. He is much easier to fight using the method we'll tell you about in a while. Undead Parish is full of tough enemies. With that done, head back around and take the left route. Once the area has been cleared of soldiers, spearmen, and crossbow archers, you're ready to take on the Black Knight if you feel daring. The next area, further underneath the staircase you've just been hiding in, is home to a collection of Hollows who will ambush you. The Hallow that ran from before will jump-attack you from the left, so be careful. If you don't manage to kill the first Gargoyle before the second reaches you don't panic: as both of them breathe fire at this stage, you can still lure one of them into a fire attack so you can concentrate on the other. They are particularly weak against magic attacks, so Soul Arrows and Pyromancy are your best friends in this battle. The Undead Parish is a location in Dark Souls and Dark Souls Remastered. If this strategy is used with weapo… Past him you will find a Knight Shield. Time to find out - head down the stairs to find a much-needed Bonfire. So if you have a bow you should attempt to do so from here - a head shot will stagger him and not allow him to fire off a soul arrow and a few consecutive hits will take him out. This area is home to an ambush, with a Balder Knight on your left and an Hollow Soldier on your right. With that done, move back across the beams, back to the landing and ascend the next ladder. Once he's gone, there's a 20% chance that he'll drop the Fang Boar Helm, an immensely useful helm at this stage in the game. Ignore this for now. The Knight will follow you down, even if you are sprinting downstairs. Head down the corridor and make a note of the passage on the left - we will come back here soon. Just rest at the undead parish bonfire, afk and leave the room and let your friends enjoy the never-ending sound of Andre's hammer hitting the anvil. They reappear and disappear at different angles: You don't actually even need to touch the boar, you can bait it into charging through the two burning stacked corpses found in the area, and it'll take considerable damage for the long period of time it's stunned after the charge while standing in the fire. The enemies in this section are more challenging than Undead Burg and will require more patience as you get used to their patterns. The Fire Keeper was already dead! With the bosses defeated and all items looted it's time to return to the bonfire. A quick note, if you collected the Gold Pine Resin in the Undead Burg apply this to your weapon and you will make quick work of the Gargoyles as they have weak resistance to both fire and lightning damage. Inside the doorway of the church, on your right, you can see two Undead Knights. With them gone, charge the Channeler and wail on him with your best weapon. Once he's following you, lead him back down to the courtyard and toward one of the fires present here - the one further away is recommended. The Undead Purgatory is a Location in Dark Souls 2.It is found in Huntsman's Copse and is a small area, that consists of a large circular pathway inside a building with little to explore. Triggering the Soldier on the left will cause him to run back and pull a lever to drop the portcullis at the end of the courtyard, behind the boar. (By the way this swing attack has a very long range) Just block both attacks, and circle or roll to his back and chip away at him. Head further down the staircase and you'll come across that mysterious banging noise. The doorway is a side entrance to the parish but we head right for now, we'll come back to it later. So keep that shield up after the initial hit. At this point, if you're feeling daring, there's a Black Knight in a tower above you. Andre is immensely helpful as he will ascend your weapons for you, making your attacks more powerful and your armor more sturdy. If you've got enough souls, buy the Weapon Smithbox and Armor Smithbox immediately, as these will allow you to ascend your weapons yourself at any bonfire in the game. Reinforcements - At the end of this passage you'll enter an old church and down the stairs here you will find a bonfire (which is worth kindling as you will use this one a lot throughout the game) and a doorway leading to the currently locked gates of Sen's Fortress, they lead you to Siegmeyer of Catarina - a jolly soul wearing rather cumbersome looking onion-shaped armour.
